Turn Paused Conversations Into New Momentum!
Happy first Monday of the year.
This week is your reset point. When you reconnect the conversations that paused, you open the door to momentum again. And momentum leads to listings and signed deals.
Start here today:
You, and any team members if you have one, open your phone, inbox, and CRM. Look for conversations from the last 90 or so days that stalled, paused, or didn’t move forward. Reach out the same way the conversation started. If it was email, send an email. If it was text, send a text. Keep it personal and direct.
Also, include your sign calls, open house conversations, online leads, and anyone who showed interest but didn’t take the next step. If they raised a hand in the last few months, they deserve a follow up now. Reach out, reconnect, and ask one good question that opens the conversation again.
If you’re reconnecting with a seller who is thinking about selling this year, you can say this:
Hi [name], Happy New Year. You mentioned selling this year. Instead of waiting for the perfect moment, let’s talk about the best moment. When you think about selling in 2026, what outcome matters most to you right now? Price, timeline, or finding the right next home?
If you’re reconnecting with a buyer who paused last quarter, you can say this:
Hi [name], Happy New Year. When we last talked, you were watching the market and waiting. What would make a home feel like a yes for you now? Price, size, location, or timing?
The script really does not matter as long as you are direct and to the point. What matters is the conversations. If they engage, your next step is simple. Offer a meeting or call to map out the plan together so it feels clear and smart. You can follow with this question when they respond:
Thanks for the update. What would make it feel like the right time for you to make a move now?
This keeps it natural and puts them in control, while giving you the opening to guide the next step.
