Big Thinkers

People in your environment can have a great impact on you. We’re all a product of our environment. Where successful people congregate, is the place to be. Making big thinker friends, and meeting them regularly to trade ideas, voice opinions, and share dream and aspirations is the thing to do.  A word of caution though: only hang out with people who truly want you to be successful. Drop all the negative dudes and those who think small. They will sap your energy. Some may try to block your way and make you feel back about doing well. Seek advice only from people who know what they’re doing. I like to call them toxic people. After listening to toxic people, you feel listless, depressed and drained. A psychologist friend calls them “energy vampires!” — they suck all the positive energy out of you. :-)

Today in a meeting, I met what I’d like to call a “nourishing person”.  As you increase your associations with nourishing people, you will feel better about yourself and about your ability to achieve your goals. You’ll become a more positive, upbeat person — the kind of person others love to be around. I used to think that it was important to associate with positive people and to limit involvement with negative people. Now, I believe that it is essential if you want to be a high-achiever and a happy individual.

As you continue to associate with positive people, the law of attraction starts to kick in. That law states that like attracts like. When you are positive, you’ll attract more positive people into your life.  So, surround yourself with positive, nourishing people — they will lift you up the ladder of success.

    Gorgani,

I luv it, “energy vampires” ;) Positive people never place themselves in negative environments. Some people feel a false sense of duty to stay with energy sappers. I learned this lesson the hard way, as do most. Once I associated with only positive people my life changed dramatically. Energy does attract like energy.
