The Price of Easy vs. The Promise of Greatness

I was on a coaching call on Friday with a great agent out of Sarasota who had been in the business for years but felt stuck. She was doing okay—making enough to get by, closing a few deals here and there—but deep down, she knew she was capable of so much more.
“I don’t know what’s holding me back,” she said. “I’m doing what’s worked before, but I’m not growing.”
And I knew exactly what was happening. She had settled into what was easy—the routines that felt comfortable, the prospecting that felt safe, the marketing that was familiar. She wasn’t chasing what was possible.
This is what I’ve seen after 6,000 one-on-one coaching sessions. The gap between average and exceptional isn’t talent, luck, or even the market—it’s the willingness to push beyond what’s easy and demand excellence from yourself.
Most people won’t do this. It’s why the majority of agents stay in survival mode while a few dominate the market.
I reminded her: You were born for greatness. But somewhere along the way, you were seduced into believing you’re just average.
And maybe that’s happened to you, too.
Maybe you’ve been told to “be realistic” or that “this is just the way things are.” But what if that’s not true? What if you’re capable of so much more than you’re currently allowing yourself to believe?
The agents who rise to the top aren’t the ones who take the easiest path. They’re the ones who step into discomfort. Who master their skills. Who show up every day with the mindset of a champion.
So First name, ask yourself: Are you choosing what’s easy? Or are you choosing what’s possible?
Because the moment you stop settling, you step into the level of success you were meant for.
I wholeheartedly wish you a productive week ahead!
