I Just Don’t Have Enough Time1

Happy Monday!
I’m not working this week—but I couldn’t resist sending this note. Last week, after I shared the Monday coaching email, one of you great agents replied with something I’ve heard many times:
“I feel like I don’t have enough time to do this work.”
We’ve all said it at some point: “There just aren’t enough hours in the day.”
But here’s the truth: It’s rarely a time problem. It’s almost always a clarity problem.
Most agents aren’t falling behind because they don’t have enough hours. They’re falling behind because they’re spending too many of those hours on low-impact tasks.
The most important word in that sentence isn’t hours or everything—it’s need.
What do you actually need to do today?
Not what’s “on the list.”
Not what’s screaming for your attention.
But what will actually move your business forward?
Once you get clear on that, your energy shifts, your time expands, and your results start to reflect the work that matters.
So how do you take back control of your time—and your business?
Here’s a simple blueprint to help you simplify, focus, and produce:
  1. Schedule What Matters—Religiously
If it’s not in your calendar, it’s not happening. Time-block the things that create results: lead gen, follow-ups, skill-building, content. Then honour that time like your future depends on it—because it does.
  2. Protect Your Focus
Multitasking kills productivity. Do one thing at a time. Do it with intention. Then move to the next. Even 90 focused minutes of real work can outproduce an entire day of distraction.
  3. Prioritize Conversations Over Busy Work
Your income is tied to the number of real conversations you have. Block time daily to connect—past clients, current leads, your sphere. This is your daily currency.
  4. Cut the Fluff—Keep What Works
Not every tactic is worth your time. If something hasn’t produced a result in 60–90 days, reassess. Simplify your systems so you can amplify your results.
  5. Build in Accountability
Discipline fades. Motivation wavers. Accountability sustains momentum. Get a coach, a peer partner, or a system that keeps you honest and on track.
  6. Protect Your Energy
Rest isn’t indulgent—it’s essential. You cannot serve your clients, lead your business, or make sound decisions if you’re burnt out. Prioritize sleep, breaks, boundaries, and unplugged time. It’s part of your performance plan.
  7. Use the “Do–Doing–Done” System
Feeling overwhelmed? Try this simple clarity tool:
    Do: Tasks you’re tackling today
Doing: Active projects in motion (2–3 max)
Done: Celebrate progress and note what worked
You don’t need more hours. You need more clarity about what truly counts. Let’s keep it simple. Let’s make it count.
Wishing you a productive and positive week ahead!
