A “well check” before the year-end!
Friends,
Here are some stats for you: Last I checked, in my town there were 75,596 real estate agents, with slightly over 50,000 sales reported so far. A staggering 93% of those agents aren’t thriving in this competitive market. That’s a lot of folks feeling the heat right now. So, what’s going on? What separates the successful agents from those who are just getting by?
We’ve got hobbyists, dabblers, and newbies in the mix. I get it—real estate can be tough. But why are only a small percentage doing well?
What’s the Missing Ingredient?
So, what’s the one thing many agents are missing? Let’s clarify what it’s not:
- It’s not about hiring the perfect assistant.
- It’s not about finding the perfect brokerage.
- It’s not even about getting more leads.
While these factors are important, at the end of the day, there’s one critical factor that truly drives success in real estate: Appointments.
Your success hinges on how often you’re meeting face-to-face with potential clients. It’s as simple as that!
A Quick “Well Check” for Your Business
Let’s take a moment for a quick business check-up. Open your calendar and take a look.
If your schedule isn’t packed with appointments in the coming days, it’s time to take a hard look at your business health. A sparse calendar is like treading water—it’s not where you want to be! If this resonates with you, it’s time to shift your focus and prioritize booking appointments. Let’s make it a daily habit to fill our schedules with meaningful meetings.
My Challenge to You!
With just three months left in 2024, I’m issuing you a challenge: set a clear intention for your business between now and the end of the year. Think about it—how many appointments do you plan to book before the year is out? Set a big, audacious goal!
When you hit that goal, you won’t just finish 2024 strong; you’ll also set yourself up for an incredible start to 2025. And remember, make your goal visual—put up a scoreboard and share it publicly!
Four Steps to Hit Your Appointment Goal
Here are four key steps to help you hit your appointment goal:
- Set Your Goal: Create a big, lofty goal that pushes you out of your comfort zone.
- Create a Plan of Action: What’s your game plan? What will you do differently to hit this goal? Write it out!
- Identify Your “Why”: You need a personal reason behind it. What drives you? Whether it’s a rewarding benefit or a motivating consequence, this “why” will keep you accountable.
- Reward Yourself: Visualize what achieving this goal will mean for your business and self-esteem. You deserve to celebrate! How will you treat yourself when you reach this milestone?
Here’s to a productive and rewarding end to the year!
