Are You 35% of the Way to Your Goals?

Good Monday morning friends.

A word from my heart this Monday morning.

We are almost at the end of the first quarter of the year. That means it is a good moment to pause for a few minutes and reflect.

Not with pressure. Not with judgment. Just with honest awareness.

Take a moment and ask yourself a simple question.

Are you roughly one quarter of the way toward your goals?

If your goals were meant to be achieved over twelve months, you should be somewhere around 35% of the way there. Some of you may be ahead. Some of you may feel behind. Both are okay. What matters right now is clarity.

The first quarter always moves quickly. Before we know it, three months have passed and we are left asking ourselves an important question.

Am I moving forward with purpose, or have I simply been staying busy?

This is where reflection becomes powerful.

Recently I was reading a research paper from Walden University that looked at traits consistently found in people who achieve meaningful success. Certain patterns kept appearing. The most common traits were passion for what you do, optimism, persistence, self discipline, creativity, and a genuine desire to keep improving.

This week, I want you to use a few of these as a simple self check.

Ask yourself:

  • Have I shown real persistence this quarter, especially when things became difficult?
  • Have I protected my optimism, or have I allowed setbacks to affect my belief in what is possible?
  • Have my daily actions shown real self discipline, or have I allowed distractions to pull me away from the activities that actually grow my business?

These are not complicated ideas. But they are powerful ones.

Passion fuels effort. Optimism protects your mindset. Persistence keeps you moving forward when others slow down. Self discipline makes sure your actions stay aligned with your goals.

So as we step toward the second quarter, take a few quiet minutes today to reflect honestly. Then make one clear decision about how you want to show up differently in the next ninety days.

Friends, if you are willing to do what others will not do, you will eventually have what others do not have.

Have a productive week ahead.
