Grit Gets You There!
Good morning superstars,
I’ve been re-reading Grit by Angela Duckworth, and this line hit me hard:
“Enthusiasm is common. Endurance is rare.”
It’s one of those quotes that sticks with you, because it speaks the truth.
In our business, especially in this market, motivation often comes in quick bursts. Maybe it’s the excitement of landing a new listing, the energy from a serious buyer finally making moves, or a conversation that reminds you why you started in the first place.
But here’s what I’ve seen time and time again: it’s not the most enthusiastic agents who break through to the next level. It’s the ones who keep going.
This market has its fair share of uncertainty. Deals take longer. Clients hesitate. Lead quality feels inconsistent. Inventory fluctuates. And it’s easy to feel like your effort isn’t matching your results.
That’s when grit matters most.
Success isn’t about hype or hustle bursts. It’s about consistency. Repetitive, sometimes boring, but necessary daily actions. The calls, the follow-ups, the handwritten notes, the showing schedules, the check-ins — all the things that don’t always feel exciting, but are absolutely essential.
Grit is what gets you to keep doing them.
Even when you’re tired.
Even when it feels like nothing’s happening.
Even when you’re tempted to pull back.
This is what I see in the highest performers I coach:
They’ve made peace with the repetition.
They show up even when it’s not fun.
And they trust the process, especially on the hard days.
So, as we kick off this week, here’s your Monday reminder:
You don’t need more hype. You need more grit.
Keep going. Keep doing what works.
Stay focused, stay consistent, and stay in motion.
You’re building something that’s meant to last, and grit is what’s going to get you there.
Let’s have a strong week.
