10 a Day Builds Your Business

Happy Monday!
A while ago, I had a conversation with an agent who asked me what they should focus on right now. They were feeling a bit scattered. They had marketing ideas, social media content half-written, systems they wanted to build—but at the end of the day, they were missing momentum. Leads were slow. Closings were even slower. And the energy? Just not there.
So I asked them a simple question:
“How many meaningful conversations did you have today?”
They paused. Then they admitted, “Not many. Maybe one or two. Does that even matter anymore?”
Yes. It matters more than ever. In fact, it’s the foundation of everything.
Real estate will always be a relationship business. People move when life changes. And people talk to the professionals they trust. So if you’re not in conversation—you’re not in flow. You’re invisible.
This is why I come back to one simple practice:
Commit to 10 meaningful conversations a day.
Not 10 texts. Not 10 DMs. But 10 genuine, real, voice-to-voice or face-to-face conversations where you listen, connect, and look for ways to be of value. Because here’s what happens when you do that consistently:
Out of those 10 conversations, maybe 5 open the door to provide real help.
Not a pitch. Just help. A referral. A recommendation. Some advice.
And out of those 5, 1 or 2 will lead to actual business—maybe not immediately, but in time. Those are the seeds that grow your business. Quietly. Steadily. Consistently. But too often, we look past the conversations because they seem… basic.
They’re not automated. They don’t have flashy graphics or clever hooks. They require time, presence, and heart. But they work. Because people remember how you made them feel. They remember who checked in, who offered help without expectation, who took five minutes just to ask, “What’s going on in your world right now?”
So if you’re feeling out of sync, uncertain, or a little stuck—don’t go looking for the next shiny tactic. Start here. Start with the conversations. Pick up the phone. Send the message. Ask the question. Listen.
The business you’re building is waiting on the other end of those conversations. Show up for them.
Wishing you a productive and positive week ahead!
