Better Results Start With a Model Week
I want to share a quick story with you.
One of my agents came to me feeling overwhelmed. Busy every day, always moving, always working… but at the end of the week, it felt like nothing meaningful was really moving forward.
They told me, “I’m working all the time, but I don’t feel like I’m getting ahead.”
Maybe you’ve felt that way at times too. I know I have.
When we looked a little closer, the issue wasn’t effort. They were putting in the hours. The issue was direction. Their days were being driven by whatever showed up. Calls, emails, messages, problems. They were reacting instead of leading their time.
And here’s the truth. We all have the same amount of time in a day. Time moves at the same pace for everyone. The difference is not time. The difference is intention.
So I introduced them to something simple, but powerful. I call it “A Model Week.“
Instead of letting the week happen to them, we sat down and designed their ideal week on paper.
- First, we blocked out a 3 hour strategic block. This is protected time for high value activities. The work that actually drives business forward. No distractions, no interruptions.
- Then we added buffer blocks. These are for all the small things that tend to pull you off track. Emails, messages, quick questions, and the day to day noise. Instead of letting those things take over your day, you contain them.
- After that, we filled in time for marketing, operations, and other responsibilities that keep the business running into action blocks.
And just as important, we made sure there was white space. Because things always come up. The goal is not perfection. The goal is flexibility with structure.
The Model Week is not about following it perfectly. It is about starting your week with intention. It gives you a plan. It gives you direction. And then you adjust as needed. Nothing is set in stone!
Because if you cannot make it work on paper, you will not make it work in reality.
So here’s my question for you. Are you reacting to your week, or are you designing it?
Take some time today to map out your Model Week. Start simple. Focus on what matters most. Protect your strategic time. And then work the plan as best as you can.
Wishing you a productive week ahead.
